@all Does anybody have an idea how to fix this type of error on a PAN pc when upgrading to win 11, the PAN is compatible with windows 11, but it doesnt matter how I perform the update, it will take me back with the same error message, I tried installed via iso, doing implace upgrade and using windows updates, also tried to fixed files, installed some firmware updates for the BIOS and fixed windows updates, but seems like I am having the result for Dr. Steven Lin office, any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

**Windows 11 Setup failure dialog** is displayed with the heading "We couldn't install Windows 11." Error code **0xC1900101 - 0x20017** is shown, accompanied by the message: *"The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation."* A "Troubleshooting tips" link is visible at the bottom left, and the system has been rolled back to its previous state per the on-screen note.

Disable AV, usually this error is disk related or: - Check if safe boot is enabled in BIOS - Check for available space on the disk ( run cleanmgr and delete windows update files) - Run sfc /scannow, restart pc, run sfc /scannow. Make sure no corrupted files persist Instead of ISO try installation assistant https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11

- does it meet the requirements? TPM ver? - did you check if the PAN machine has the Win 11 drivers?

I tried this yesterday and it didn't work for me, it kicked me out and vatech was stuck, so I have to call today and ask Dr to shut it down and turn it back on :) again we have the same boot phase error message

it does, TPM ver > 2.0 Processor Xeon W-2223 >  3.60GHz RAM > 16GB GPU > NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000

Any USB devices connected to it? Try disconnecting them all and run troubleshooter for windows update Also you should be able to find exact log at: C:\Windows\Panther C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther

From the time I worked at Microsoft and saw this boot phase errors, in rare cases, troubleshooting this error would let the update to go through, most cases ended up in a clean/custom install of the OS 🫠 not saying is the next step, but this particular error is not very promising

I have everything that has been suggested but unfortunately, I am having the same result, what would be the next step?

have you checked with Vatech if the grabber card has Wn 11 drivers? if yes and it supports, then tell the doc: sorry, but this has to be done onsite

this is a basic client, so I dont think we should offer help with the USB stick and walk them thru the process of reinstalling the OS, its gonna be too much

Will do that, thanks Sergey :)
