I have a pan pc with no internet access, I can reach it via rdp locally on the network, is it safe to do a network reset as long as I replicate whatever settings are on the Pan ethernet adapter?

yes.

Still nothing, I have no internet, tried setting up static IP to it, but same, tried changing dns, but computer won't get internet. thinking of maybe rebooting their firewall and see if it maybe helps, any other thing I could possibly try? 🫠

what IP does it receive when on dynamic settings? is that the correct subnet? have you checked the hosts file?
Tech A 2025-02-11 19:00
yes, the pc gets a valid IP within their subnet, I even changed it to a diff one so romexis could work again (10.0.0.120) but still nothing, host file only has the svr22 entry and nothing else

smb2?

almost sure it is enabled but let me double check, I think they were trying to use the pc to run some cbct

revisiting this, SMB is already enabled on the pan machine, switch that is in the same area was rebooted, as well as the firewall, no luck, pc still has no internet. not sure what else to try, the pc works fine locally. I tried to see if i could reboot the switch in the office but is in a hard spot and we cannot do it. not sure what else to try, any ideas?

when I ran network troubleshooter, it took off the static IP I added and set a dynamic one, and then the pc was not working at all, it lost local connectivity, when setting back to static, it works locally, but has no internet.

sounds like a broken OS or NIC drivers, not sure

I ended up doing an inplace upgrade, once done, I went to the adapter settings and re-entered all the static IP info, and the computer finally got internet and is back online.
