Guys, quick question: I'm working with PDS PLATTSBURGH, they are having some issues with the wifi so I want to reboot the AP's, I tried to open the ubiquiti network manager, but the app was not showing up. I copied the ubiquiti folder before upgrading the app, and I will restore a backup from the folder, its from 12/11/2023. If I restore this backup, will be any change at the moment that I do that? will the aps reboot or something?

**On-screen dialog box titled "Restore from backup"** is displayed, prompting: *"Are you sure you want to restore the settings from 6.5.55.unf created at 12/11/2023 9:15 AM for version 6.5.55?"* Two action buttons are visible: **Cancel** and **Confirm** (Confirm is highlighted in dark/active state).

sometimes the java process gets stuck in the background and needs to be killed. Have you tried that?

Nope, but the app was not showing up, I tried to search it by windows search, by the folders at the c: disk, but nothing appeared

Is it OK if I restore that backup? I'm not sure if the devices will be down after that

**Task Manager – Details Tab (via LogMeIn Remote Session)** The Details tab shows `mongod.exe` (PID 13704, Status: Running) highlighted with a red box, with the associated **User name listed as "DentalHT"** (also highlighted). Additional visible processes include ManagementServer, Microsoft.ActiveDirecte, msdtc.exe, Novabackx.exe (two instances), NovaFUSION.exe, NovaFUSION.Service, nsCtrl.exe, nsService.exe, piusvc.exe, ramaint.exe, Registry, and rundll32.exe — running under various accounts including SYSTEM, NETWORK, Administr..., and DentalHT. Desktop shortcuts visible in the background include **Ormco-DXT**, **Microsoft Network**, **MyAlignTech**, **DataGrabber**, **Practice Intelligen...**, **netscan.exe**, and **SIDEXIS**.

also, I am logged in as Administrator but the process is started as DentalHT. Unifi only works under the user it was installed for.

After killing that process and logging off DentalHT account, I was able to start the Unifi Controller

The UniFi Network Server application window displays the message **"UniFi Network Server (8.0.7) started."** accompanied by a green checkmark icon, indicating successful startup. The application is copyrighted 2005–2023 by Ubiquiti Inc. In the background, a process list is partially visible showing entries with statuses of **"Running"** and **"Suspended,"** with memory values including **160,784 K**, **308 K**, and **6,208 K**, all under SYSTEM or Administrator accounts with **"Not allowed"** permissions noted.

I left it open for you on the server

**UniFi Network Dashboard (Self-Hosted, v8.0.7)** running locally at `127.0.0.1:8080`, Server IP `172.17.178.10`, System Uptime `1m 48s`. Two active access points visible: **UAP-nanoHD** (highlighted/selected) and **UAP-AC-Pro**; six active clients shown including two labeled **PLATT-**, one **SonosZP**, and others identified by MAC addresses. Signal Strength Session Times bar shows distribution of **17% at -90 dBm**, **48.4% at -80 dBm**, **26.6% at -70 dBm**, and **8% at -40 dBm**; Radio TX Retries panel displays values of **1**, **2**, and **1** across segmented bars with a total count of **2**.
