@all PDS project steps: - check if the desktop, pictures and documents are pointed to the server. If not - repoint. ONLY for PCs that are not treatment rooms - Take a note of the Chrome profile if any. If personal -take a screenshot so they know what profile it was signed in with. If no profile or company's profile/guest profile  - export Chrome Bookmarks and Passwords to the folder on the desktop called Chrome.- check of the use mail client and make anote of the accounts - log off the domain profile and sign in as DHT local admin account. IMPORTANT - make sure you check the DHT account has full local admin rights!!! - add secondary DNS as public 1.1.1.1 - remove the PC from the HQRCMS.LOCAL domain - log back into the PC to make sure you can - move on to the next PC - once all PCs are moved from the domain, let Alex know start joining the PCs back to the new PDSMGMT.LOCAL domain - change the DNS to 172.17.200.11 - leave the secondary blank - join to the new PDSMGMT.LOCAL domain - login to the domain profile based on the hostname - restore Chrome settings if needed - change the Dexis Integrator mailbox path to the new one: \\img01\dexis\data\mailbox - make sure Dentrix and Dolphin opens up - make sure Dexis opens up properly - add secondary DNS to the local Domain controller

no i just did it once for boris case that he mentioned before in kingston, no matter if he logged in to newly created dht or old local dhm profile it was fully black no matter how long he waited. he spent a long time on it so i just did the direct join to the new domain and that was fine in that case.

let not sabotage a production environment migration with uncertain workarounds. You're free to experiment thoroughly in a lab. If there is an issue clearly with the workstations, fix the issue, do not introduce broken inventory to a clean domain that we tirelessly worked on for weeeks

@Alex Kaplun I joined all computers to domain except those two OP's. They eventually logged into their profiles do you want me to join them to the domain as is. I looked at the log file briefly from one of the PC's but nothing stood out to me. Also, since the server is not finished all I did was join domain.

@Alex Kaplun OP5 and OP6 for aveu are working in the sense that the office should be able to use their programs and it signs into their domain profile right away. There are still issues as I cannot use the search bar or update windows via GUI. I first tried updating windows via powershell and got the same issue after reboot. I un-installed all KB updates the PC would let me and I am re-installing all available updates via powershell. Its taking awhile, so if someone wants to check later on they can to see if this resolved the lingering issues with the PC's.

that's a known issue from the past. the quick way to fix it is to right clikc on \users\adminstrator and give it rights to either domain users or everyone under security and that will fix the issue. i've had articles about this in the past. this caused by image of windows that was used by refurbished computers that we used to buy and limited rights domain users.

Since we put local DC as primary, there are no issues joining. Its just we cannot get published apps to work. So, we should continue, right? Technically, once the network issue is resolved, we would have to run gpupdate to fix the apps
