Hi, my PC started to shutdown randomly, regardless if there is heavy load or no. Event log doesn't show anything except unexpected shutdown, I tried stress tests also haven't resulted in shutdown.... I've noticed that extension cord fuse was down so I replaced it with cord that has no fuse.... It was ok for about 6-8 hours.... Now it started again.... I suspect PSU, however under heavy load it should crush instantly... Any ideas?

whats the psu watt rating? check .dmp file after crash, google dump file analyzer

i got corsair rm850 gold (850w) 12900k and rtx 3080, so more power than needed I suppose ( no Christmas's tree inside ) no minidump after crash 🫠

reseat all the components
Tech A 2024-08-05 18:03
it crashed like that in bios as well, so shouldn't be OS related...
Tech B 2024-08-05 18:04
sporadic crashes could also be attributed to overheating CPU reapplying thermal paste have solved similar issues for me
Tech C 2024-08-05 18:05
thats why I said to reseat all the components. Also it could be not only CPU overheating but also the GPU.
Tech A 2024-08-05 18:11
I did a stress test and monitored the temperatures, nothing crashed and everything was in acceptable values... the pc crashes even in idle...

if I had intel 13'th or 14'th gen I would know who to blame first 😏
Tech B 2024-08-05 18:14
what if 12 gen wanted some attention and decided to join the rest
Tech A 2024-08-05 18:25
Then it's time to go back to AMD

This image is not a technical equipment photograph. It appears to be a GIF or meme still frame showing a person pointing at the camera with the caption "THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT." There are no equipment, error codes, diagnostic indicators, or technical components visible.

ok, restarted all components. Poured some thermal paste, let's see what happens...

PS: had fx8350, now my father is using it as his office pc. I was exploating it since 2013 till 2023
Tech D 2024-08-05 19:03
I had that cpu before, it was great since you could use your pc to play something while you fry some eggs on top of it 🍳
Tech C 2024-08-05 19:05
ok, restarted all components. - I said "reseat", not restart.
Tech A 2024-08-05 19:24
That's what I did... Also restarted cmos ( it's 11:24 hard to read on the phone 🫠)
Tech C 2024-08-05 19:28

Tech A 2024-08-05 19:35
That was like 20+ years ago...
