Question - Dr. Attaie from Hello Smile office wants his office to be allowed to let Open Dental techs connect to their PC's when they call them for support/some questions ... the problem is that they use screenconnect (opendental.screenconnect.com) which can only be run by admin accounts with how their domain permissions are setup. What is the best thing we can do here? I told him I will create a ticket for this and get back to him. He said he has made that request in the past and we never did it for him lol

would still require them to have admin rights to install though , no ? o.o I know this office/domain has locked down rights

anything other than adding adjusting group policy for the updated screenconnect client would be reducing security in their environment. I believe they were informed to sign a release form if they want us to disable policies pertaining to software installation restrictions.

I think right now the policies setup to restrict installations except exclusions, part of the exclusion is screenconnect. Alternatively setup a policy to deploy the latest version to workstations, this way if they need to connect od it’s already installed
