Hey guys, I'm trying to re-authenticate this user on \\hsdumbonas - but when trying to access it says access is denied, I tried already with multiple passwords but still no luck, any idea on what else can I do here?

**Windows Security dialog box** is displayed in File Explorer, prompting for network credentials to connect to host **"hsdumbonas"** with the username pre-filled as **"HELLOSMILE\kids dental"** and a masked password entered. The dialog shows a red **"Access is denied."** error message, indicating the submitted credentials were rejected. The file path in the address bar reads **\\hsdumbonas\OpenDental**.

Is that a nas? Have you tried logging into its web interface?
Tech A 2024-09-11 14:17
I can get to the web interface, I tried some passwords but I'm not able to access

The browser displays a Synology NAS web login page titled **"HSDumboNas"** at local IP address **192.168.16.48:5001** over HTTPS. The browser flags the connection as **"Not secure"** (red warning indicator in the address bar). The sign-in form shows a **Username field** with a red underline, indicating a validation or empty-field state; no password field is currently visible.

likely you're using the wrong password, or wrong username to login

They should have the same creds as woodside, try those or local domain admin creds
Tech A 2024-09-11 14:33
I'm trying with multiple from woodside and still no luck Kids dental hitech Itadmin dht admin administrator dentalht root admin23 All those usernames with their own password shown as bitrix, still stuck there, any idea of which password or username can I use?
Tech D 2024-09-11 14:35
if there is nova you could check in tab: device> look for NAS> properties.... But password will not be not visible
Tech A 2024-09-11 15:01
with the password doesn't work, do we have access to this? or does the office has to approve?

The screen displays a **Synology NAS web interface** login prompt for a device named **"HSDumboNas"** with username **"dht"**, requesting multi-factor authentication via the **Secure SignIn** app with an **"Approve sign-in"** message. A **"Stay signed in"** checkbox is visible and unchecked. An **"Other sign-in methods"** link is available at the bottom of the dialog.

I don't think we usually set 2fa, that can mean the credentials you entered are wrong ( this is synology security for bruteforce) If there is actually associated acc try other method and there should be some @dentalht.com email. Otherwise the creds are not valid
Tech D 2024-09-11 15:11
have you tried: itadmin Password&*(
