Hello Guys, can you all help me out with a this ticket https://bitrix.dentalht.com/workgroups/group/5/tasks/task/view/143618/, we received a request from Robert at Island Dental Associates, he wanted to create an RDP account and whitelist an IP address for a third party company that will be working on the ISLAND DENTAL - DR-WEINSTEIN and OpenDental, therefore, we created a MobileVPN user and domain user account so they can have access to the PC, however, we received a call from Walter from WP Agency, saying that they wont be able to use the Mobile VPN because they already use another VPN since they are working overseas and they don't want to use the LMI option either, so they are trying to establish a connection directly via RDP to the PC and Walter says that he only would like to whitelist the IP Addresses on the watchguard, does the RDP suppose to work only whitelisting the IP Addresses or what should be the best way of doing this? Here is the email that Robert sent.

**Email from Robert Smith (rsmith@islanddentalassociates.com) dated Oct 11, 2024, containing Open Dental software license key: `LSKR-MHVK-KTCP-X9QG`.** The email provides setup instructions for a sandbox environment including links to trial installation, full version update, and eConnector API component pages on opendental.com. It also specifies a Windows firewall allowlist IP address of **50.28.110.109** and instructs the recipient to configure an RDP account for remote connection.

According to Walter, he would like to whitelist the following IP addresses also: 98.113.131.63 100.37.178.67 199.14.231.162 50.28.110.109

From my experience the safest way is to use RDP with certificate authentication.... Or Remote Desktop Software

Just white list the IP' and let them know once you are done
Tech C 2024-10-16 17:26
It is up to them to make their VPN software work afterwards
Tech C 2024-10-16 17:27
This should be done on the watchgaurd
