Hi team, I'm trying to figure this out. Dr. Paes is still experiencing remote connection issues, and the Nova Backup is running a backup_remote scheduled to run daily. Does that mean his bandwidth is not enough to complete the daily backups, and he would need an upgrade?

Because they recently upgraded the server, a full backup has to take place. Their data size is over 1 TB therefore it takes several days to complete. After that daily changes take only few minutes during the night. For 99% of clients the initial backup does not cause these slow connection issues, so judging by persistence of this issue they may need to upgrade their internet.

Hi Alex, thanks for clarifying. What would be the recommended internet speed? With the current internet speed, this should be done by next Monday right? Pending gb: 1017. Current speed: 3.4 mb/s. 1017*1024: 1,041,408 mb 1,041,408 mb / 3.4 : 306,296 s 306,296 s / 60: 5104.94 min 5104.94 min / 60: 85.08 hours

as a rough estimate seems about right, but speed will fluctuate at different times. they have ~40mbps upload speed (as opposed to ~650 download) which is on the lower sides especially if they have remote users connect to the office. We already switched them to faster S3 storage type which reduces initial backup duration x5 times, but the tradeoff it does use more bandwidth. They need to check with ISP what upload speed is on their current plan and if the ISP offers next tier to increase bandwidth

thanks a lot Alex
