Hey Guys, I need a hand with something.
For Zak Riverhead, a Dell technician is asking for a bitlocker key, this is for the PVT computer in the office SERVICE TAG: G215DX3 // I tried searching on the spreadsheet with the passwords but there's no bitlocker key for the computer we need, any ideas where I can find it?

i looked in that master sheet for all their passwords, nothing there. so if the windows is reinstalled, is there some data that was saved on it?

Tech is saying that the computer was not booting (that's not true, we were able to use it before but it was shutting down randomly) so that's why he had to replace the motherboard anyways

Tech D

I don't think so, I know that the keys gets saved there, dell tech was trying to log in with an MS account (not sure which one, probably one that nikki has) to check that

I've noticed that they ship the new pcs with that encryption thing enabled, but not sure where is it that the key is stored in those cases, usually when I see it enabled on a new pc setup, i disable it, to avoid running into this kind of scenarios, at some point lol

maybe have the dell techt to swapt the MoBo back?
Tech D

I think that the tech forgot to disable bitlocker (In case that was enabled) before replacing the motherboard, so he's saying now that it was not turning on before lol

**Screenshot of a ChatGPT conversation** regarding BitLocker behavior when reverting to an original motherboard. The response outlines three numbered points: (1) BitLocker May Recognize the Original Hardware, (2) No Recovery Key Required (Possibly), and (3) Data Should Remain Intact. The closing text recommends either **suspending and re-enabling BitLocker** or **backing up the recovery key** as follow-up actions after hardware restoration.
