Hey guys, QQ - do you know how to change the default provider under sign clinical notes? - They want instead of always showing DDS1 to show HYG5 on this workstation, any ideas how to change that?

The screen shows a dental practice management software interface with two overlapping dialog boxes. The first is a **"Select Provider"** window listing providers (IDs: DDS1, HYG3, HYG5, HYG8, HYG9, HYGK, HYG5) with DDS1 "Shrotny... D.D.S." selected as Primary. The second is a **"Sign Clinical Note"** dialog displaying the name **"Adya A. Shrotriya, D.D.S."**, date **12/4/2024**, and a warning message: *"WARNING: Adding a signature to Clinical Note will prohibit any editing of the Clinical Note."*

I might be wrong, but I think Dentrix defaults that, to the default provider that the patient has assigned, within the family file. if you go to that pt family file, it probably has DDS1 as default provider, not sure if that behavior can be changed.

Setting a default provider to sign clinical notes You can select a default provider to sign clinical notes. To set a default provider to sign clinical notes 1.   In the Patient Chart, click Setup, and then click Clinical Notes Default. The Clinical Note Defaults dialog box appears. 2.   Select the provider, who by default, you want to sign clinical notes, and then click OK.
