Hi guys, for Gary Shnayder office, Dr Kotlyar is complaining that she cannot revert the date on the pc anymore, apparently she has been doing this for years since she needs to backdate the pc to do some work on dentrix (apparently she never does this things on time I guess) and they cannot do it anymore since the new server, I assume that they were not on domain before, I know that this somehow can be forced, but is not recommended to do while on a domain, any suggestions? haven't explained this to her but I know she will insist on it, she is been trying to change it from control panel but that reverts back, after about 5 mins

You should be able to do it directly from the Control Panel options, for some reason from the Settings doesnt allow you but from the control panel it will allow you to do it.

yeah, it works, but reverts back after about 5 mins, and according to her that doesn't give her enough time to do anything lol

back in the days, when I was a 6 ft tall blonde and you guys were still in school, they used to backdate the records/notes in Dentrix by reverting the time on the PCs

Dentrix ver G4, G5 was taking a local PC time to time stamp it

I believe starting from ver G6 and up it is taking the server time

now!!! WARNING!!!! messing with the time on the domain controller will lead to the domain fuckup!

Dr Khrakovsky insisted on doing that 6 months ago which lead to the total domain collapse and he paid a lot of money to fix that

what exactly does she need to do? Add a clinical note and sign it under the specific date ?

according to her is to enter the claims in dentrix like if they were received on whatever date she puts the pc on, she is been doing it for 9 years, until the new server was put in lol

No, its 24.23, I see a ticket from yesterday, Dr called with Dentrix on the line to update dentrix

not sure what version were they on before
Tech A

so since they are on a newer version, and on domain, nothing to do then? if new versions don't use local time anymore
Tech C

oh, thats the reason. Probably I was wrong and that change where Dentrix picks up time was introduced in G7
