Hey guys, so for Queens Oral and maxillofacial surgery, they have some Yealink T53W phones, they are trying to access the web interface of the phone (by putting the phone IP on browser) but it doesn't load, it keeps saying refused to connect, tried to disable firewall, av, tried with https:// / http:// but same, rebooted the phone, same thing, can't get the webui to load, this phones were provided by Verizon at some point in time but they claim that they are not locked in any way, also tried other pc, browser, same thing. there are several yealink phones on the network but is doing the same for all of them, and they need to access to modify something on the phone queues any thoughts what to do here? I also tried browsing with her through the options on the phone itself, but could not see anything related to the webui of the phones

**Browser error page displayed in Chrome/Edge (Chromium-based).** The page shows "This site can't be reached" with the target IP address **192.168.1.241** and the message "refused to connect." The error code **ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED** is displayed at the bottom of the message, with suggestions to check the connection, proxy, and firewall.

The image shows a text-based documentation page titled **"Enabling the Web Server on the Phone"** with no equipment model numbers, error codes, indicator lights, or physical hardware visible. The content consists of step-by-step instructions referencing menu navigation paths: **Menu > Setting > Advanced Setting > Network > Web Server**, with options to enable **HTTP** or **HTTPS** protocols, and a default admin password noted as **"admin"**.

let me check that ๐Ÿ‘€
Tech C 2024-11-20 19:20
you can try https://username:password@phoneIPAddress web server must be enabled on the phone and check for ip conflicts
Tech C 2024-11-20 19:22
cmd: arp -a [ip] if there is duplicate/conflict it will show more than 1
Tech D 2024-11-20 19:25
how about resetting a phone to the factory default?
Tech A 2024-11-20 19:36
yeah, none of the above worked, there is no web server anywhere on settings, also, no conflict, apparently, they might have factory reset the phones at some point in time for the same issue, and did not help either, but I will confirm and see ๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿซ
Tech C 2024-11-20 19:59
Verizon provided the phones = Verizon troubleshoots the phones? Am I wrong? ๐Ÿธ
Tech A 2024-11-20 21:55
I would think the same, so apparently they use Verizon for phones, but it forwards to a Ringcentral queue, and they need to configure stuff that requires to login on the webui, but they have not been able to for a while and verizon can't help or could not help, I even factory reset a phone, and didn't work :D ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ
Tech D 2024-11-20 22:17
can it possible use some specific ports?
Tech D 2024-11-20 22:17
but even if thats the case, how would we determine it...
Tech D 2024-11-20 22:17
and the phone gets the IP address no issues, right?
Tech A 2024-11-20 22:19
I don't think it does, we did not see anything on settings, also netscan shows no port, and yeah, all phones are working fine, no IP issues, they get an IP just fine, is just that you cannot access the webui, so not sure what the deal is with these phones lol
Tech D 2024-11-20 22:20
can it be possibly using a custom firmware that locks it down for Verizon only?
Tech A 2024-11-20 22:22
I was thinking something like that, but they claim that is not the case (office talked with them a few times) I guess its possible... I can try talking with them and see where that takes me
Tech D 2024-11-20 22:23
i assume you checked that already?

**Google AI Overview** displaying step-by-step instructions for disabling the web interface on a **Yealink T53W** IP phone. The procedure references navigation path: **Menu > Settings > Advanced Settings > Network > Web Server**, with instruction to disable the **HTTP Status or HTTPS Status** option using the default admin password **"admin"**. No error codes, indicator lights, hardware, or physical equipment are visible โ€” this is a text-only software/configuration guidance screenshot.
Tech A 2024-11-20 22:25
yes, she sees no "web server" option anywhere in the phone settings, I went through each option with her ๐Ÿซ

for some models in network setting as you go down ( more than screen shows) there could be http or https which you can enable
Tech C 2024-11-20 22:37
If the phones were provided by Verizon most likely they don't have the original firmware. Reaching to Verizon would be best option
Tech A 2024-12-12 16:23
you were right, Verizon finally confirmed the phones downloads a custom firmware once they get the service through them, locking certain features. nothing to do
Tech C 2024-12-12 16:34
